What unites Nancy Jackson Hodin’s array of work experiences is a passion for discovery and storytelling - identifying, understanding and leveraging new ideas, trends and technologies to create compelling content that is both commercially viable and engages an audience. Hodin’s Communications Environment™ marketing and content development services satisfy client’s needs for message impact, reach and engagement.

From her start as a writer and editor, Nancy learned the value of storytelling to convey complex ideas and concepts. At CBS Programming, CBS News and as an independent non-fiction producer, she came to appreciate the needs and preferences of different audiences. As Director of Program Development at Doyle Dane Bernbach, she created the concepts and budgets for their original programming, producing a number of cable series as well as the first sponsored home video series. When she began her own company H&H Media, Inc., she continued to explore the potential of new media creating original advertiser-supported programming and unique cable content.

Aspiring to bring more value to news, Hodin created an independent news service in 1988 called the Video Information Network that focused on important issues of public policy. This non-profit company produced multiple news series that were seen by millions of USTV HH. The Video Information Network continues to create and distribute thought-provoking content with noted thinkers and policy-makers.

In 2001 Hodin was invited to run a multi-camera, broadcast studio in NYC for a SF-based company known for their expertise in live broadcasting and connectivity. ITN-NY was one of the first studios to originate live Internet programming, and served as a production facility for broadcasters and web-based programmers.

The idea of installing connectivity into venues and creating experiential destinations was a concept that she later developed into a partnership called The Clarient Group.  Their first project was the iconic Time Warner Center in New York City.  This Communications Environment™  became the precursor to the current destination media networks and a model for other such developments around the world.

Hodin continues to develop and produce programming in all media, including: developing and marketing a virtual world that teaches real-world business skills, producing and directing a series of comic interludes with Gary Busey (voted the Best Celebrity Endorsement of 2008 by AdWeek’s AdFreak), developing and producing content for major digital signage systems, developing a pilot for a new media series, and executive producing a series of web-based news features for Nespresso.
